Some subjects are compulsory at Key Stage 4. That is
because they include essential knowledge that you will need in the
future – for jobs and further study.
The subjects you will have to take exams in are:
This may mean taking a GCSE or it may mean taking an alternative
qualification – check with your school.
These are the other subjects that you will have to study, but
you may not have to take an exam in:
- ICT (Information and communications technology)
- PSHE (includes careers education, citizenship and sex
education)
- PE (Physical education)
- RE (Religious education)
Some schools have other compulsory subjects – you will be
informed of these by the school when you have to make your
choices.
