In West Sussex we may see more rain, often in the
winter, but heavy rain falling at any time of the year can cause
significant flooding.
When it’s flooded it’s difficult to use public
transport to get to school or to your job as buses and trains may
not run, it may damage your home and your personal possessions,
which costs money to repair and replace, and people may struggle to
get to the doctor’s surgery or to the shops.
There’s a lot you can do in advance to help yourself be more
prepared.
