Target Group:
Young Women, in school years 9 and 10, who are at
high risk of considering pregnancy as a life choice at a young
age.
Overview and Content:
The focus of this programme is to deliver early
intervention and a prevention programme for those young women who
may be considering pregnancy as a life choice. We aim to raise
awareness and aspirations around the consequences of, and
alternatives to, pregnancy and teen parenting.
Intended Outcomes / Qualifications:

ASDAN PSHE Award.

Ten workshops will run each week delivering to a
core group of 10 young women in years 9 and 10, identified by
the school staff/professionals as likely to fall into the
target group.

The young people will be asked at the first session
to contribute to, and plan for, the areas they want to cover as
well as planning their final reward trip.

Youth workers and specialist staff deliver the
workshops, with partner agencies delivering inputs in their own
specialist area.

The workshops end in the form of a day out/reward
where they are able to reflect and also complete their ASDAN
awards.
