Cheaper Bus Travel With Your '3in1' Card
Your 3in1 Card gives you cheap fares on local bus services*
anywhere within West Sussex. What's more, cheap fares also apply on routes which cross the boundary, for example, into Brighton,
Portsmouth, Guildford, Redhill or Tunbridge Wells. The 3in1 Card can be used at any time, any day.
Under-16
(yellow) card holders
You will get an extra discount of 25% of the adult fares. On most Stagecoach services,
this means that you will pay just over 40% (instead of the current 66%) of the full fare, but on other companies' buses you
will pay just 25% of the full fare.
16/17 or 18+ (green) card holders
You will get a 50% discount
on adult fares, so you will pay half fare on all buses.
Whichever card you have, you can get the discount not only on
single or return tickets, but also on day tickets* and any weekly tickets which can be bought on the bus. Some companies may
also offer longer period season tickets at reduced rates. Ask your local bus company if you need further information.
Please note: Other Citizencards (without the colour-coded 'Your Card') are NOT valid for reduced fares - so please don't ask for the reduced fares unless you can show your proper 3in1 Card to the driver. All travel is subject to the relevant operator's conditions of carriage.
* Exceptions - Reduced fares are NOT available on:
- long-distance express services (e.g. National Express)
- tickets which include things other than bus travel (e.g. admission to attractions; through tickets for Isle of Wight hovercraft)
- tours or excursions
- night buses which charge higher fares than equivalent daytime buses
- special services (such as those to Goodwood Races)
- works services which are not advertised to the general public
- journeys between places entirely out of West Sussex (unless these happen to be covered by valid day or period tickets bought within West Sussex).
