Domestic abuse

england fan Domestic abuse is something that affects both men and women. It is physically, sexually or psychologically abusive behaviour which is directed by one partner (or ex-partner) against another.

Domestic abuse can include domination, punishment, or control of a partner. Abusers use physical and sexual violence, threats, money, emotional and psychological abuse to keep power over their partners.

Reports of domestic violence to England and Wales police forces increased by an average of 25% on England's match days during the last World Cup in 2006 and it could be a time of heightened danger for some women or men in their relationships this summer.
