Chris, 16 from Crawley is just one of the many young people who applied for YOF in the past 3 years. This is his story:

'Our group applied to YOF to get some money to pay for extra equipment for the Youth Wing. We wanted to bring the older young people and the younger ones together and give them all something they could use in a safe environment.

We had been talking about it a lot and then we were told about YOF by our local Youth Workers. They told us how easy it was and that we just needed to apply and wait for a response!

Without waiting we put our bid in for a Football table and Games Console.

The whole thing was pretty quick as our local YOF forum made the decision to award us with the money! We bought our equipment and installed it in the Youth Wing.

We’re all really pleased with it and everyone’s taking good care of it. It’s finally given all of us a new range of activities to do at the Youth Wing that everyone is happy with and that everyone can use – no matter how old or young they are.'
